What's the best music documentary or concert film you've seen?

I've seen a bunch but my favorite concert film would be this:

 

 

 

As far as music documentaries go, I know a lot of people got excited about this one:

 

 

 

But my interest lies more in music-based documentaries. And while I give big ups to Jason for this amazing xmas present (an incredible documentary, really):

 

 

 

I have to give my top endorsement to this one. This one really shaped the way I look at music:

 

 

 

After watching this, I bought 5 copies and gave them as xmas presents. That, and I saw this doc with Mrs. Chicken in what was our early dating days. It was also the night she introduced me to her two brothers (no, I wasn't a nervous fucking wreck or anything) and Mary (her brother Casey's wife). That night proved pivotal and memorable. After the movie, which was the Detroit Film Theater, a place we love, we went to the Majestic for many pitchers of beer. Memorable, because we had a good time and I got to see a piece of music-related documentary filmmaking that just blew my mind. And it was pivotal because I got to meet, and ultimately earn the trust and respect of, two guys I now consider brothers of my own. Mary? Not so much.

Kidding! I kid. I love her, too.
