QotD: Personality Trait = Trouble
What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
My big fucking mouth. I have a whopper of a pie-hole and I spent my teens, 20s and most of my 30s just letting it fly. My motto? Fuck you, you don't like it. Marriage has smoothed that edge a little bit. I know my Lovely and Talented isn't always interested in hearing my oftentimes toxic and wit-soaked opinions. And I realize that, by telling strangers in public, especially those who have it coming, to "suck it," that I indeed haul her down to my own little part of the gutter, which is not fair to her. So, I try to ease up a bit.
But yeah, the mouth -- more specificallly, the shit that comes out of it -- has often earned me my place in most tricky situations.
